It may sound like a lot of hot air, but instead of using hot air in the metaphorical sense, an airfryer does so in the literal sense. When making fried snacks with an airfryer, this revolutionary device uses superheated air that will provide the same satisfying flavor as fatty foods, but without the need for oil.
The hot air that airfryers use is courtesy of Rapid Air Technology, which is used to cook the type of meals that you would normally cook in a deep fat fryer. However, unlike deep fat fryers, an airfryer will circulate air up to 200 degrees Celsius around your choice of food – be it chips, fish, pastries or chicken. Just like deep fat fryers, they can brown food off nicely. The only difference is that they will be cooked with 80% less fat, helping you lose weight and stay healthy as time goes by.
From the outside, an airfryer basically looks like a big rice cooker. Inside, it has a tray that can be removed and filed with food before being placed back in the device. Most of the time, meals will only take 12 minutes to cook and you will end up with hot and crispy meals for the entire family. These meals won’t just be brown and crispy, either; they will also cut a lot of calories, regardless of what you decide to cook.
While it is possible to forgo oil altogether if you don’t want to use any while cooking with your airfryer, some people recommend adding half a tablespoon of oil when cooking fried food like French fries in order to give them more flavor.
If you are a lover of chips, you can make handmade chips in an airfryer in less than 12 minutes and with only half a tablespoon of oil. Oven-ready fries, on the other hand, can be done in 9 minutes. The same goes for hamburgers, steak, frozen chicken nuggets and chicken breast.
If you love sweets, then you will be happy to hear that you can bake cakes in less than 25 minutes with an airfryer, too. To do all of this, it will use a fan and a grill to send hot air around your food of choice as quickly as possible. This results in a crisping and browning process similar to when food is roasted, baked, fried or toasted.
As for the taste of the food, most consumers who have written about their first experience with their airfryer have expressed nothing but good sentiments. In fact, a lot of them say that the food cooked with an airfryer tastes just as good and just as satisfying as actual fried food.
Fried food is generally very popular. Unfortunately, they contribute to the tons of calories and hidden fat that people consume every year – the same fat that has caused you to gain weight and has prevented you from losing the weight that you want to lose. As such, buying an airfryer can help you lose weight without having to give up all of the food that once made you feel guilty for eating.
An airfryer is also perfect for people who are nervous about using the traditional pans that are notorious for causing fires. Besides, any device that can reduce harm and danger in a household should never be taken lightly.
If cleanliness is something that matters to you, then you will be glad to know that there won’t be any grease flying around when you use an airfryer. This means that you won’t have to worry about getting grease off of anything. As mentioned earlier, airfryers come with a food separator, so that you can fry several foods at once without making one type of food smell like the other. It has an air filter, too, so you won’t need to worry about your house smelling like a fast food kitchen, either.
As you can see, an airfryer can help with your overall health and wellbeing, as well as provide you and your family with a more sustainable life.
